What is Mindful Yoga?

The mindful approach I take to yoga focuses on the slow flow, tuning in to the more meditative aspects of the practice.

In a mindful yoga class:

  • We take our time in each pose
  • We pause between poses, giving us time to connect with ourselves and notice what’s going on
  • We approach ourselves with kindness, dismissing any negative inner voices
  • We turn our attention inward, focusing on bodily sensations, areas of tension, stray thoughts and our breath
